In Latvia, a withholding tax of 20 % will be levied on interest payments from 1 January 2018, although this can be reduced. In order for the withholding tax to be reduced to 10%, the Bank must receive a certificate of residence no later than eight weeks before the due date. You should be able to claim additional tax relief for this foreign tax in Ireland.

To reduce the withholding tax, a certificate of tax residence from Revenue is required, as well as the form "Claim for Reduction or Exemption from the anticipatory Tax withheld at Source" which we will provide to you when you make an order. These documents must be submitted no later than six weeks before your deposit is to to mature.

Swedish Deposit Protection Fund

The Czech Republic is located in the center of Europe and has been a member of the European Union for more than a decade (May 2004), which ensures barrier-free access to the EU market. The Czech tax authorities now only accept tax documents issued or signed not older than 90 days before the interest payment date.
